About Legalo

Legalo Ltd sells legal document templates for UK startups, founders and small businesses, covering business contracts and some personal documents. It says it has been helping customers since 2015 and that its documents are drafted under the laws of England and Wales by practising solicitors. Each template comes with a plain English guide, and Legalo refers customers who need bespoke advice to a law firm.

Its Ecommerce and Internet range includes website terms and conditions for selling goods to consumers, website terms of use, a website privacy policy, a cookies policy, website and email disclaimers, and documents for handling copied content. A separate range covers terms and conditions of trade for businesses that do not sell online.

How to get terms and conditions from Legalo

  1. Decide whether you need terms of use for an information site or terms and conditions of sale for an online shop.
  2. Add the template to your basket on legalo.co.uk, or download the free Startup and SME Compliance Pack if it covers what you need.
  3. Download the Word document.
  4. Work through the clause by clause guide, deleting clauses that do not apply and filling in details such as payment terms and warranties.
  5. Publish the terms and privacy policy and link to them from your site.
